Scottish Gin Brand Purist Launches Latest Artist-Designed Bottle

Purist Gin is an innovative gin designer run by 22-year-old distiller, Bruce Walker. Each bottle of Purist Gin uses a new young artist to create their label with this run being the first female painter to create a label.

The artist, Franny Moseley developed this amazing piece during lockdown and has kindly let Purist Gin use her artwork on their bottle. Being part of the Purist Art initiative means she will get paid for every bottle sold and gain some amazing exposure for her artwork.

The Scottish Gin brand beat off stiff competition from multi-million-pound distilleries and won a Bronze Medal in the 2020 Scottish Gin Awards, after being in business for a mere six months and launching in the lockdown of 2020.

Purist Gin has a light orange and cassia spice on the nose, which develops in the mouth to a more rounded classic juniper and coriander with yuzu peel flavours bursting through as it mellows out into a sweet orange aftertaste lingering briefly before the pallet is left refreshed. The distillery uses a single-shot process to mellow out the ethanol, binding it with rich botanicals to provide, not only a smooth gin but a very light mouthfeel, too.
